Samuthirakani to crack the whip

Buoyed with the success of 'Saattai', Samuthirakani has decided to develop it as a series, with one film every year. One among the installments will be a bio-pic on IAS officer U Sagayam, who is known for his honest ways.

"I have completed writing the script for 'Saattai 2'. The same team of director Anbazhagan, Thambi Ramaiah and myself will come together," says the filmmaker, who is now busy as an actor.

"While 'Saattai' was about a teacher, 'Saattai 2' will revolve around a father, 'Saattai 3' will be about a son and 'Saattai 4' about husband. We are also planning a bio-pic on Sagayam under the 'Saattai' series." Samuthirakani says.

Is Sri Divya turning down new heroes?

There was an allegation against Sri Divya that she was turning down offers to act with new heroes. Clearing the air on it, the actress says heroes were never a criteria for her to sign movies.

"I look only for the script and my character while signing films. I don't prioritise popular heroes over new ones. If I have dates and if I like the script, I don't hesitate to sign on the dotted line," she says.

Sri Divya also denies that she demands a hefty sum as remuneration. "I get what I deserve. Morever, I never discussed salary with my producers. My mother takes care of it," the 'Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam' and 'Kaaki Sattai' girl says.

Vikram wows Samantha

Vikram has clearly bowled over Samantha with his caring and sharing ways. "He took great care of me while shooting '10 Enrathkulla' and he is my favourite. I will always be biased towards him," says the actress.

Stating that they worked under stressful conditions for the film, Samantha says she is thankful to Vikram and the movie's director Vijay Milton for offering her a great role and looking after her on the sets.

She is also happy about working with her 'Anjaan' co-star Suriya in '24', directed by Vikram Kumar. These apart, Samantha has bagged the upcoming movies of Vijay and Dhanush, besides Telugu projects.
