Udhayanithi Stalin Condemns Komban Allegations

Karthi’s ‘Komban’ gets ready to release today amidst much drama and some sections try to imply that it was Udhayanithi Stalin, who was behind the roadblocks created for the film as his own film ‘Nanbenda’ with Nayanthara and Santhanam is scheduled to release with ‘Komban’.

Udhayanithi in an interview to an English daily has categorically denied the charges as baseless as he had announced the release date more than a month back and also signed agreements with theater owners for 275 screens well in advance and hence the release of ‘Komban’ will in no way affect him. He condemned those who try to pull him into the controversy to gain publicity.

Karthi’s Komban re-censored UA

Karthi’s Komban has been re-censored with a UA certificate. A few days ago the filmmakers announced that the film has been censored with a clean U but news has now emerged that it will be out with a UA.

Some politicians and caste-based political outfits have been protesting against this film’s release alleging that it shows a particular caste in bad light.

However, a press note from the producers, Studio Green, that the film has nothing to do with any caste is expected to put the controversy to rest.

Komban is gearing up for release on April 2 worldwide
