Finally, 'Vaalu' is Here!

The last one and half years have been rather dry on Simbu's calendar, given that no movie was released, in which he did the lead role. But what filled the gap is the news about the anticipated release of his flicks 'Vaalu' and the more recent 'Idhu Namma Aalu'.

After remaining shelved for close to two years, now 'Vaalu' is clearing up from the deck and is ready to hit the big screens. 'Vaalu' is an upcoming romantic, action entertainer starring Simbu and Hansika as the title couple. The film is directed by Vijay Chandar, and has music scored by Thaman, which has already recieved impressive response. The crew has decided to lock May 9th as the release date for 'Vaalu'. Apart from this project, Simbu looks forward to the release of his other flicks too - 'Idhu Namma Aalu' and 'Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada'.

More Comedy Power for Simbu's 'Vaalu'

‘Vaalu’ is one of five films of Simbu getting ready for release in the coming few months. The film has high expectations as Hansika and Simbu became a couple during the shooting before abruptly ending their relationship.

Santhanam and VTV Ganesh are already in the cast to take care of the comedy department and recently ace Telugu comedian Brahmanandham has joined ‘Vaalu’ adding more color.  Brahmanandham made a big mark in Tamil in films like ‘New’, ‘Ghilli’, ‘Mozhi’, ‘Saroja’and ‘Lingaa’.  The film’s producer is NIC Arts Chakravarthy, Music is by Thaman and directed by newcomer Vijay Chander.

Who is behind Simbu's bad times?

With his films 'Vaalu' and 'Idhu Namma Aalu' getting delayed, STR has hit out at 'some people' who, according to him, are plotting against him.

"Some people are trying everything against me due to hatred and jealousy. But even if I forgive, karma won't. Hope they understand that," Simbu has said.

The actor, who has developed much interest in spirituality of late, added: "Hard times. All I did was surrender myself to Almighty." At present, Simbu is shooting for Gautham Vasudev Menon directed 'Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada'. Soon, he will start working on a film to be helmed by Selvaraghavan.

It's a Clean U for Simbu's Vaalu!

The much delayed ‘Vaalu’ starring Simbu and Hansika has got a clean chit from the censor board.  The fact that Simbu has not had any solo release in the past three years has not made any dent in his fan following evidenced today in the social media as the trending topic was the censor of ‘Vaalu’

Produced by S.S.Chakravarthy  of NIC Arts, the film has Santhanam, VTV Ganesh, Brahmanantham, Salim Ghouse and yesteryear heroine Manthra making a comeback in a special role. Another highlight is the appearance of evergreen heroines Saroja Devi, Kushboo and Simran in a song with Simbu.  Looks like Karthi’s  ‘Komban’ is going to face stiff competition from ‘Vaalu’ when the films release on the 27th of March.

Simbu impresses his Mother on Women's Day!

Simbu may have women walking in and out of his life but the one constant in his life has been his mother Usha R Rajendar who has been a constant support  for him in all his ups and downs..  On Women’ s Day Simbu decided to give his mom and family a treat and held a special screening of his ‘Vaalu’.  Post the show Simbu’s mother hugged her multi talented son and congragulated him for his performance.

Simbu has not had a release since his ‘Poda Podi’ which came out in 2012 and has been only seen in cameo appearances in films of his friends.  Fans are eagerly awaiting ‘Vaalu’ which stars Hansika Motwani as the love interest and top notch cast like Santhanam, VTV Ganesh,Brahmanandam, Salim Ghouse, Aadukalam Naren and in very special appearance Saroja Devi, Kushboo and Simran.  The films’ release date is confirmed on March 27th.
