IG brings Ramesh Arvinds Tell All Inteview about Uttama Villain

Many eyebrows were raised when actor Ramesh Arvind was chosen to direct Kamal Haasan’s grand spectacle ‘Uttama Villain’, but few know that Ramesh is already an established director in Kannada with five films to his credit and has also directed Kamal Haasan in his debut as director in “Rama Shama Bhama”.

KB and K. Viswanath

The portions involving K Balachander eventhough his character is Margadarsi it is auto biographical story of the real life of Kamal and KB.  K Vishwanath is an intelligent actor and will bring his own to a scene that will make it even better.

The Theme of Uttama Villain

Ramesh Arvind revealed that ‘Uttama Villain’ is about the feelings of a Superstar and it also carries the
message not to judge someone by appearances.  The superstar may be a Uttaman or a Villain.

About his Artistes

Kamal Haasan takes care of the family drama with Manoranjan and dances, jokes and gives a variety of entertainment as Uttaman.Speaking about Urvashi Ramesh Arvind calls her a scream as she has performed the scenes with such ease  as if the lights, camera and dialogues do not exist and it is pure spontaneity from her. The director says that one of her scenes in a hospital is a text book in acting and every aspiring heroine should compulsoraily watch that scene.

Parvathi Menon plays Kamal Haasan’s daughter and Ramesh Arvind challenges that the meeting between father and daughter will figure in the best 100 scenes of Tamil Cinema.Pooja Kumar takes  care of the glamour quotient of the film and she appears in both the contemperory and the 8th century portions. Nasser plays an 8th century King and by his body language has rewritten the way a King will behave and will be a treat to watch.

His Technicians

Ramesh calls Gibran a wizard of music and such a difficult movie to create music as only Illayaraja could have done it but Gibran has done full justice.  Two are three songs actually tell the story and moves it forward. Camera Man Shamdat paints with light and Vijay Shankar the editor understands the pacing of the film and has cut scenes to the rhythm of the story.

Closing Shots

The film is a complete family entertainer and the clean U certificate justifies that. 'Uttama Villain' will rank among Kamal’s best like ‘Nayagan’, Pushpak, Moondram Pirai and Devar Magan.  Ramesh Arvind is also keen on starting his next film as director which may have Sivakarthikeyan or Simbu in the lead.

Inspirational Song Recorded for Vijay's 'Puli'

A new song that will bring about inspiration to many has been penned by Vairamuthu and composed by the ever energetic Devi Sri Prasad for Vijay’s ‘Puli’. '10 Enrathuklla' team mourns for Nepal

The cast and crew of Vikram-starrer '10 Enrathukulla' were shocked and shattered to know that Nepal was devastated by earthquake. For, they were back from the neighbouring country only a few days ago, after shooting a lengthy schedule there.

"We are mourning for Nepal and praying for the victims. Bhaktapur, where we whot for nearly 15 days, was the worst affected. People there were very warm and we miss them badly," says the film's director Vijay Milton.

"Though we did not know their language, they interacted us in a friendly way and ensured that we felt at home. It is sad that such a beautiful nation and wonderful people are hit by the nature's fury. They just don't deserve it," Vijay Milton adds.

Amala Paul's awesome experience

It seems Amala Paul had a wonderful experience working with veterans Mohanlal and Joshiy in her upcoming Malayalam venture 'Lailaa O Lailaa'.

Speaking at the audio launch of the film recently, the 'Mynaa' and 'Deiva Thirumagal' actress said, "I would love to go back to the first day of the shoot of 'Lailaa O Lailaa' again. It was great to work with legends."

In Tamil, Amala has done an 'interesting cameo' alongside Suriya in director Pandiraj's 'Haiku'. The film belongs to kids genre and the actress is happy about being part of it. Suriya himself has produced the movie under his 2D Entertainment banner.
